About me

I created nik crabtree photography through a love of taking pictures; especially portraits. Those portraits, both of adults and of young children like my own, at school plays, parties, weddings and other formal functions, received some very warm compliments and interest in my photography grew. So, nik crabtree photography was born and you can see a small cross-section of the results in my portfolio on this website.

Consultations and quotations are entirely free and you are under no obligation to book or buy. Quotations will be valid for 30 days.


I am more than happy to discuss your individual requirements and I will try to meet them as far as possible. Here's an example of what a shoot might include:

The Marriage of John and Jane

Before the day
  • Meeting with the bride and groom to introduce myself and to discuss their initial requirements and expectations. This would typically include an informal quotation, which would be formalised in writing later.
  • The bride and groom are free at any time to ask questions, explain ideas about how they would like to be photographed, show me examples from magazines of shots they like* and to discuss when and where I need to be on the day.

On the day
  • Photograph the bride and her bridesmaids and family, or the groom and his ushers and family as they prepare for the wedding.
  • Photograph the bride and/or groom arriving at the ceremony
  • Photograph the ceremony itself, but please note this depends largely on the photographic policy of the venue.
  • Photograph the formal shots of the bride and groom and their guests.
  • Photograph the reception, speeches and cutting of the cake. I can also photograph a post-reception party if required.

After the day
  • The bride and groom will receive all of their photographs on DVD (or CD) in high resolution; a wedding album containing 24 prints of their choice and the photographs will be available in a private on-line gallery from where prints and other media can be ordered.
  • Photographs can be ordered on a variety of media including prints of varying sizes, DVD/CD, canvas prints, poster prints, silver framed prints and photobooks. Please ask me for further details and prices.
